John Blanton brings over 22 years of law enforcement and arson investigative experience to the L4 team. During his law enforcement career, John served as a patrol unit and Special Operations/SWAT team member. He transferred to the Lexington Metro Fire Department as a firefighter/paramedic – with the last 10 years of his career serving on the Arson/Explosives Investigative Unit. 

He has extensive training and experience in explosives, post-blast, internal affairs, and homeland security techniques.
